Servers' Guild
The members of the Servers' Guild perform their ministry during the Sunday service. By their actions, they help the congregation to focus and to know the presence of God.
Servers participate in many parts of the service:
- They carry the cross during the Processional, Gospel Reading, and Recessional.
- They carry the Gospel Book during the Processional and Gospel Reading.
- They assist the celebrant with preparation for communion
- They receive the offering from the sidespeople, so that the priest can bless the gifts.
- They assist the celebrant with the ablutions (the cleaning of the vessels) after communion.
