As I sit and reflect on our new outreach initiative for families with young children, all I can think about are the verses,

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. 1 John 4: -12

Last Friday, Chris, the kids and I distributed close to 30 craft bags to families across Caledon. We asked on Facebook who would like a bag full of assorted materials with prompts to create a specific creation and whomever responded got one. The idea came to us from Jenni King- Feheley at St. Michael and All Angels on St. Clair. They have a ministry initiative called Fabulous Fridays that started with a weekly program at the church but became what it is today due to COVID restrictions. We decided we wanted to get on board! So, we are now a satellite for this program. We deliver craft materials once a month to families in want.

The goal is to support the community through this time without expecting anything in return! As a mother of three running out of ideas for my kids at home, I get it!!

To make this a sustainable program, we need your help! We need money to go towards craft materials or craft materials themselves and we need people to deliver these packages. If that interests you, send me an email at amy.dow@outlook.com or text/call (226) 200-2788. For ideas of what to donate, you can find a list of items following this post. If you are a family that would like a craft bag, please send us an email with your address and contact number or text the number provided. Till next time, Blessings my friends!!
