Welcome to the Mindful Weekend. We at Mindful Christianity thought it would be helpful to provide you each Friday with some encouraging scripture, thoughts and challenges that have inspired us in our own journey. (After all, we are all in this together!) We hope it can help make your weekend more fulfilling and restorative!

Week Two - Inspiration

“Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.” - Unknown

Scripture

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” -  Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Challenge

The Bible tells us over and over (and over) how much we need each other if we are going to exemplify the kind of sacrificial love Christ calls us to live in the world. We really do need each other! Consider who inspires you to live more like Jesus? It is usually the people that are busy helping others, the ones who forgive easily and love with abandon. Make a list of those who exemplify these characteristics for you. Then, take a few moments this weekend to write some “thank you” notes, texts, or emails to express how thankful you are for their example of faith. Let’s do what we can to bring a smile to the people who encourage us and lift us up in our own journey!
