During the months of June and July, Outreach, with your help, will be helping the people of The Brampton Prison Ministry. They are in need of new or gently used backpacks and mens personal hygiene products. The Rev. Mark Stevens visited us on June 2nd to tell us about this ministry. He explained why these backpacks are necessary in his efforts to help men adapt to and succeed in the challenges of adapting to civilian life. If you have any older students in your family or neighbourhood, please reach out to them to ask if their current backpack will no longer be needed. You will also be able to make a donation towards the purchase of new backpacks in June and July.

If donating by cheque: Make your payable to St. James Caledon East and write “The Brampton Prison Ministry” on the memo line. Place your cheque in the backpack on the bulletin display.

If donating by e-transfer: Send your donation to treasurer@stjamescaledon east.ca and write “The Brampton Prison Ministry” in the message box.

If donating a gently used backpack or mens personal hygiene products, please place it on the floor under the backpack campaign bulletin board.

If you have participated in this campaign, please take a backpack picture and pin it to the bulletin board.

Thank you from your Outreach Team
