The Rev. Michelle Jones is passionate about communicating the Good News and encouraging people to see where the transforming power of the Holy Spirit is at work in their lives. ‘I’m excited to be working with the leadership team at St. James to discern what God is up to in Caledon East!

Michelle Jones grew up in Thornhill Ontario. She has lived, studied, and worked in London (UK) and Chicago.  It was during Michelle’s years as a certified yoga teacher and secular wedding officiant that she felt a strong call to ordained ministry in the Anglican church. She was ordained as a deacon in 2019 and then as a priest in March of 2020.  Most recently she was the Associate Priest at Christ Church, Brampton.

Michelle, husband Brad and daughter Lilly live in the village of Inglewood.  Michelle enjoys tramping about in the woods, watching British crime dramas, doing jigsaw puzzles, and finding beauty in unexpected places.  With a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from York University as well as her graduate degree of Theological Studies and Anglican Studies from Trinity College, University of Toronto (2018) it’s not surprising that Michelle also has a love of writing, something she shared with a writers group she established in Brampton.
