As we seek to determine who we are (our gifts, strengths, challenges) and what God would have us do in the next few years, we will be having a Mission Action Planning session after the service on Sunday June 1st. This will be a parish wide visioning day led by members of the Diocesan Congregational Team to collectively name our strengths and to reimagine new ways to engage our community and reengage and reimage how we operate as a parish. It will be the start of a dialogue which will continue throughout 2025. You are all invited, and more formal invitations will be out soon in the What's Happening. A registration form can be found in the Gathering Space.
The leadership team hopes you will plan to attend on June 1st. The session will help us confirm our values, vision and priorities for ministry and mission. Churches have emerged from the years of the pandemic and are now feeling a bit more stable but need to determine what comes next. We have recently celebrated 175 years. It feels like it’s time to plan; to listen for God’s call to us; and focus and direct our energies and resources in a strategic way.
The outcome of this work will be an action plan which sets a course for the next 2 to 3 years.
The process is rooted in prayer and reflection on scripture. Facilitation and much of the note taking is supplied by trained volunteers or Congregational Development staff.
**Beginning after service, in the Great Hall at 11:00am
