What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.  Michah 6:8

At St. James we support people in need, close to home and further afield. We often find fun ways to raise funds - such as wearing our jammies to church.

Here are some of the causes we have supported lately:

  • Sleeping Children Around the World, a Canadian charity impacting the lives of children
  • The World Evangelical Alliance, in support of children affected by hurricanes in the Caribbean,
  • Water Ambassadors Canada, providing clean drinking water to desperately poor people in devveloping countries.
  • FaithWorks, the Anglican Church charity that assists homelss people, newcomers and refugees, at-risk women, children and youth, aboriginal peoples and those who are AIDS/AODS impacted
  • Brampton Prison Ministry, helping male offenders to successfully and safely reintegrate back into the community
  • The Elizabeth Fry Society, helping female offenders to successfully and safely reintegrate back into the community
  • Choices Youth Shelter, offering homeless youth in Orangeville and Caledon an alternative to living on the street and supports their transition to a more prductive and brighter future
  • Caledon Community Services.

Here at St. James we stock The Little Food Cupboard which serves several local families experiencing food insecurity.

Sometimes Outreach is simply showing up for each other through home visits, phone calls, hugs, listening ears, smiles and encouragement. We also have a small team of people who assist Mother Michelle with visits to those who are ill, bereaved or in need of support of some kind.
