What might the future look like for St. James Caledon East?
As we seek to determine who we are (our gifts, strengths and challenges) and what God would have us do in the next few years, we will be having a listening and learning session after the service on Sunday June 1st. A light lunch will be provided.
Everyone in the parish is invited to this visioning day which will be led by members of the Diocesan Congregational Development Team. Together we will name our strengths and imagine new ways of engaging our parish, along with our local and wider community. This is the start of a dialogue which will continue throughout 2025.
The Leadership team hopes you will attend. As Mother Michelle has stated “We need to confirm our values, vision and priorities for ministry and mission. Churches have emerged from the years of the pandemic and are now feeling a bit more stable but need to determine what comes next. We have recently celebrated 175 years; it’s time now to plan; to listen for God’s call to us; and focus and direct our energies and resources in a strategic way,”
The outcome of this work will be an action plan which sets a course for the next 2 to 3 years. The process is rooted in prayer and reflection on scripture.
The registration form can be found in the Gathering Space. Please sign up so we can plan accordingly.
