Inspiration

“Every now and then a person with no agenda, no ulterior motive and no self-interest will take pleasure in helping you succeed, grow and live your purpose. This person will operate in love, will seek no praise, and will want nothing in return. This person is a gift.”  Craig Harper

Scripture

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.   Philippians 2:3-4 NLT

Weekend Challenge

Live with a Generous Spirit: Sometimes Jesus asks us to simply make ourselves ready and available to help others. Of course, this is healing for both those of us who need help and those of us who are willing to set aside our time and efforts to offer help. Beginning this weekend, and over the coming week, practice making yourself accessible to be a gift to someone in need. Life is so much richer when we learn to live with a generous spirit. Say a prayer each day asking God to give you the eyes to notice the people who need your smile, a helping hand or just words of encouragement. Try to offer help and encouragement to at least one person a day for the next 7 days and see if it doesn’t become a habit… We promise it will bring a deeper sense of joy and purpose to your life too!
