Thank you so much to every one who attended our virtual service on Easter Sunday! You can find an audio recording attached below.

I recognize that many of you were using this form of communication for the first time and I greatly appreciate your willingness to try something new in these extraordinary circumstances.

Special thanks to the following people who made the service possible and so special:

  • to Neil Price-Jones for the use of his GoToMeeting account, for looking after the technical side of things, and for the audio recording.
  • to Joanne Redhead, Howard & Valerie Jones, David Finch, and Amy Dow for the beautiful, uplifting music and their careful coordination. (Sharon & Shane Wieler had hoped to play, but were unable to do so because of internet-connection issues).
  • to David Finch & Claire Olorenshaw for reading our Scripture lessons.
  • to Diane Allengame for her beautiful, heartfelt prayers and particular petitions in these unique circumstances.
  • to all who hand-delivered the order of service to our seniors and helped them to call-in to the service, including Al & Gill Lawrie, Ruth Sowrey, Howard & Valerie Jones, Diane Allengame & Jim Farmer.
  • to all who read the Paschal Greeting so beautifully in their mother tongues: Betty Clark (Dutch); Mike Pascucci (Italian); Amy Dow (Malayalam); Liliana Pascucci (Spanish); Eric & Shireen Fahim (Urdu); and Howard Jones (Welsh - and also German & Greek!). We look forward to hearing more languages throughout the 40 days of Easter, beginning with Trudy Messer (Russian) and Alex Wasyliw (Ukrainian) next Sunday. Please let me know if you or someone else would like to read it in a particular language (You certainly do not have to be fluent or even a member of that ethnic group, but just have an appreciation for the language).

Details of next Sunday's service forthcoming.
