History of St. James
Generations of faithful followers

People have been worshipping as Anglicans in Caledon since 1848.  To the east of the village is a small cemetery which is the site of the earliest church and the resting place of its founding families.

In 1901 a new red brick church was built in the heart of the village of Caledon East. Since then numerous additions and alterations have enabled the congregation to grow and serve the community.

St. James celebrated its heritage in 2023 with a number of special events, a commemorative book and the launch of a new ministry, "The Little Food Cupboard".
